We are a group of passionate university students who founded Deben and Dollars to explore the world of finance from a student’s perspective. Our goal is to share clear, educational, and research-based content on markets, companies, and economic trends.
Our Story
At university, we realized that textbooks and lectures only cover part of the picture when it comes to understanding finance and the economy. That reflection sparked the idea to create “Deben and Dollars”, a place to share insights and research beyond the classroom.

The name comes from deben, an ancient Egyptian unit of value, and the dollar, today’s currency of the United States. Together, they emphasize the timeless theme of money and value, linking the past to the present.
